A glimpse at a night out filled with local art

Looking for an affordable night out? Gallery Night has become a very popular event for people of all ages and backgrounds. Each location books their own artists to display their work or perform during the event, with some locations offering light food and beverages. While traveling to see different artists, you may discover local businesses that you didn't know existed along the way. Here's a glimpse of what's happening at the 18 participating locations on this particular Gallery Night:
Erie Art Museum: Famous ceramist Brett Kern will be revealing his new works of art and The Honest Mistakes will be performing. There is a cover charge of $3 for non-members and $2 beers. (20 E. 5th St.)
ART 100 Pop up gallery: 100 years of art will be celebrated at Edinboro University, there will be original pieces by Warner Brothers, as well as work by local animators. (209 Meadville St., Edinboro, PA 16444)
Masonic Temple Association: Tour this 109-year old building, with a beautiful ballroom, dining room, and more! Light refreshments will be offered. (32 W. 8th St.)
AWE Gallery at the Palace Center: Are you ready for fall? The theme is FALL Open Call, with a variety of artists, live music, and poets. (915 State St.)
Molly Brannigans: This Irish Pub has been freshly renovated, and guests can test out new menu items and drinks while enjoying local art by Helen Tullio. (506 State St.)
Crime Victim Center: The Dafmark Dance Theater's Jennifer Dennehy, a 40 Under 40 alumna, edifies attendees about the healing power of dance. (125 W. 18th St.)
The Oasis Market: Enjoy art that is made out of sustainable materials and created by local artists. There will also be live music and refreshments. (914 State St.)
D'Hopkins Denniston Gallery: The "Unforgettable Art on the Town" collection will be displayed for all to see and consider for purchase. Light refreshments will be provided. (5 W. 10th St.)
Pointe Foure: Anna Lindvay and Pointe Foure owner Emily Lynn George collaborate to bring you "KEEP ERIE WEIRD." Don't miss this colorful and bright show with music and art. Grab a sample from Erie Distillery while you're there. (2508 Peach St.)
Ember + Forge: Come see the art of talented local high school students spread throughout the coffee shop. Enjoy live music by Steve Maynard and vegan treats from Sundae. (401 State St.)
The Shop: Watch artists Scott Rispin and Rob Karkowski in action or peruse the works of Randy Harris and Lucas McConnell. View a film by MenajErie and Erie Arts & Culture while enjoying drinks from Erie Ale Works, food from Que Abides food truck, and music from Falling Hollywood. (W. 19th and Chestnut).
Erie Art Gallery: The Blood Black Nothing, drawings in white and red pastel on black paper by Kris Risto, shows the existential crisis for local artists. Take in this unique show while enjoying light hors d'oeuvres. (24 W. 8th St.)
Sovereign Ballet: Take a look at "Forbidden by Definition," an art show that highlights the past and present of African-American culture. (2539 W. 12th St.)
Garnon Truck Equipment: Meet Nathaniel Hale Garnon and marvel at his mammoth oil painting created for the Summer 2019 Exhibition. (1617 Peninsula Dr.)
Vintage Wonderland: Discover delightful handmade items created for you and your home. Enjoy light refreshments as you browse the store. (2724 W. 8th St.)
