PRSA NWPA Looks to Promote Erie's Future
Two scholarships open to local PR, communications, and marketing professionals through July 31
No matter what city you live in, image is everything. Over the past couple decades, Erie, PA has been carefully trying to both mend its image (as an honest, hard-working, and safe place to raise a family) and reinvent itself (as a destination and as a magnet and incubator for up-and-coming industries and talent).
But critical to that big-picture, long-range paradigm shift are the dedicated public relations, communications, and marketing professionals who promote the good happening within our community every day. The Northwest Pennsylvania Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America brings these individuals together via networking events, professional development activities, awards and recognitions, and educational resources and opportunities.
To bolster the future of the profession in Erie, the PRSA NWPA is now taking applications for two scholarships through July 31.
"Pennsylvania nonprofit PR professionals who find the cost of membership prohibitive have the chance to receive their first year with our chapter covered by our scholarship," said Larry Klick, PRSA NWPA president. "New professionals who were PRSSA members in college may also find their annual dues to be a challenge. Five scholarships are available for them and are generously underwritten by Stevens Strategic Communications. With COVID-19 still facing us, these scholarships have even greater significance."
Below are the prerequisites for each application, which can be obtained by emailing estevens@stevensstrategic.com
