Downtown speeches, march, and kneeling followed by a black business popup sale
Erie's Juneteenth Celebration began downtown at Perry Square. Around 175 people marched from there to the Erie County Courthouse where they took part in a group kneeling. Soon after, there was a block popup sale near 8th and Chestnut St. Celebrating Black Businesses. The event was organized by Angela Euell McNair, the Booker T. Washington Center, with help from the Erie Chapter of the NAACP, African-American clergy, and Erie's Black Wall Street.
