Party with the Punks in Some Kind of Nightmare, Dysmorphia, and More at 9th Street Beer Cafe
Some Kind of Nightmare arrive on their Damaged But Not Broken! Tour
Thursday, May 10
This week, Alex Harilla's Gimp Guy Underground Promotions will host their debut show at the 9th Street Beer Cafe, featuring San Diego-based Some Kind of Nightmare alongside locals Dysmorphia and Insult to Injury. Some Kind of Nightmare arrive on their Damaged But Not Broken! Tour, supporting a recent single "Generations Dead" as well as their half of a recent three-song split with Swift Knuckle Solution of Violent Breed Records.
Each band's sound and self-identified labels make it perfectly clear that this is a punk show, with varying descriptors (Dysmorphia referring to themselves as "riot groove punk," Insult to Injury calling themselves "melodic punk," and Some Kind of Nightmare going with "politically charged punk"). — Aaron Mook
