Mike Kelly Tests Positive for COVID-19
The Republican Congressman was tested last week after noting flu-like symptoms
United States Congressman Mike Kelly has tested positive for COVID-19. Having served since 2011, the 71-year-old Kelly, who hails from Butler, PA represents Pennsylvania's 16th District, which includes Erie County.
On Friday, prior to receiving the test results, Kelly posted this statement from his home:
According to Kelly, his symptoms are mild.
Kelly was not in Washington, D.C. for the recent House vote on the third coronavirus relief package which Trump signed into law on March 27. "Had he been present, he would have voted in favor of the CARES Act," Kelly's website noted.
