Erie County Sees 492 New COVID-19 Cases and 14 Deaths This Week
62 new cases were reported today along with one new death
On Wednesday, Feb. 17, the office of Erie County Executive Kathy Dahlkemper announced 62 new positive cases of COVID-19 along with one new death.
Erie County's cumulative total now stands at 16,712 total cases and 427 total deaths,.
In the past week, there have been 492 new cases and 14 deaths, with both figures rising from last week. On average, there have been two deaths each day and more than 70 new cases this week.
There have been 59,734 negative tests, with 2,693 this week and 12,92 last week.
According to the Erie County Department of Health, there are currently 34 people hospitalized from COVID-19 (down six from last week) with three on ventilators.
Of the total cases, 53% are female and 47% are male.
