Erie County Sees 303 Weekly COVID-19 Cases, Four Deaths
34 new cases were reported today along with two deaths
On Wednesday, April 28, the office of Erie County Executive Kathy Dahlkemper announced 34 new positive cases of COVID-19 along with two additional deaths.
Erie County's cumulative total now stands at 19,683 total cases and 461 total deaths.
In the past week, there have been 303 new cases and four deaths listed in the National Electronic Disease Surveillance System (NEDSS). On average, there were more than 43 new cases per day last week, for a decrease of ten cases per day compared to last week's data.
Currently, there are 18 patients hospitalized with COVID-19 in Erie County, with one requiring a ventilator.
There have been 68,175 negative tests, with 732 this week and 984 last week.
According to the PA Department of Health, there are 83,061 fully vaccinated residents (over 30% of the population) in Erie County, with 27,341 partially vaccinated.
