Erie County Reports 911 New COVID-19 Cases This Week

In the last week, there have been 911 new cases of COVID-19 reported in Erie County According to the PA Department of Health, with 867 new cases reported the previous week, 894 the week prior, and 972 the week before that. 

The number of cumulative cases in Erie County is now 30,087. The PA Health Department has the total number of COVID-19 deaths at 495, while the Erie County Department of Health lists a total of 542.

One death has been reported this week by the PA Dept. of Health, while the Erie County Department of Health reported nine deaths between Oct. 17 and Nov. 2.

As of now, there are 140,167 Erie County residents who have been fully vaccinated, with 13,632 having received their first dose, and 24,276 who have received a booster shot.

Over the last seven days, there has been an average of more than 130 cases per day (a per-day increase of more than six).

Today, Pennsylvania saw 10,245 additional positive cases reported, for a total of  1,575,184 cumulative cases.

So far, there have been 31,711 deaths statewide (514 this week).

So far, 14,009,897 doses of vaccine have been administered in PA (344,422 this week).

According to the CDC, the US has a total of 46,024,349 total cases. There have been 127,217 new cases in the last 24 hours, and 523,591 cases in the last 7 days.

The total number of deaths in the US is 745,274, with 1,301 in the last 24 hours. 

As for updates in our nearby counties, Crawford County has 11,187 positive cases (up 307 since last week), with 193 deaths (up five). 

McKean County has 5,252 total positive cases (up 132) and 94 deaths (up five). 

Venango County has 6,553 total positive cases (up 189) and 145 deaths (up nine).  

Warren County has 4,199total positive cases (up 168), and 132 deaths (up eight).
