Downtown Fall Fest Delivers Packed Autumnal Day
Sunday, Oct. 20
Erie will come to life in the midst of a sleepy fall afternoon to host its Downtown Fall Fest this Sunday. From 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. there will be live music, s'mores, a farmer's market, donut-eating contest, spooky storytime for kids, and more, taking place on State Street between 7th and 10th Streets.
At the Oasis Market, a stage will be set up for performances by Annalise Vaughn, Brooke Surgener, and Lifethrumusic. There will also be a giant donut-eating contest with Jack Frost Donuts.
In the Palace Centre Pocket Park, kids can get their face painted by Taradoodles, watch Halloween movies, and hear silly stories. By participating in "Street 'n' Treat," kids can get candy from local businesses and participate in the costume parade and contest.
The Fall Maker's Market in the Boston Store will include Erie Apparel, Copper Carriage, Archery Encounters LLC, Retro Remix Gallery and Gifts, and more.
Other activities going on throughout the day are mask making with Artlore Studios, the display of a two-headed dinosaur created by Schaefer's Auto Art, cooking demonstrations and local eats by the SorcERIE Food Truck, a drum circle led by Joyous Spirit Yoga with Valerie, and chair massages provided by Monacella Massage and Kinesiology.
To top it all off, there will be plenty of pumpkins, a multitude of mums, and festive photo opportunities throughout. — Chloe Forbes
