"In September 1980, reggae godhead and future dorm-room staple Bob Marley played his last recorded show at Pittsburgh's Stanley Theatre; cancer killed him less than a year later. A new double-CD/triple-LP release features that entire final show. UMe/Tuff Gong International will release Live Forever: The Stanley Theatre, Pittsburgh, PA, September 23, 1980 on February 1.
I had no idea Bob Marley played his last show in Pittsburgh, and I definitely didn't know that the Stanley Theater was for a time the #1 concert venue in the country. Very impressive. Anyone out there go to a show at the Stanley in its heyday?
